The Phipps

Phil & Peggy Phipps started their horse hobby both as youngsters but became involved more in 1994 with the purchase of their first stallion Targa. Targa is now owned by Joe & Terri Mock from Kamrar, Iowa. From there it grew to keeping a foal that they raised to be their second stallion, Justa Nasty Habit. Both of these are APHA stallions.

They then expanded to Quarter horses in 1999 when they became owners of Zippo Scotty, an AQHA stallion. In May of 2004 they began standing Hints Classic Style, an AQHA stallion owned by Kenneth Moore of Mason City. In September of 2007 they bought Hints Classic Style and now own him. Hints Classic Style has since passed on to Horse Heaven but they still have frozen semen available.

They also purchased in fall of 2005 a 2005 black AQHA son of Kidlook, Hint of Kidlook who will be standing to the public in 2008.

Phil & Peggy now stand three boys and raise and sell the get from them.
The Phipps reside in the small town of Stanhope, Iowa.

The Stallion List

Targa is a '89 homozygous black overo stallion. He is 15'1. His bloodlines go back to Mardelle Dixon and CleggBars. He cannot sire any red babies. Black, bay & buckskins are the most dominant. He does not carry the HYPP gene. Targa is now owned by Joe & Terri Mock of Kamrar, Iowa.

Justa Nasty Habit is a '95 chestnut overo stallion. He is 15'1. He is a bald-faced blue eyed with the black eyeliner stallion. His bloodlines go back to Doc Bar, Peppy San, Continental & Impressive. He is HYPP N/N.

Zippo Scotty is a '97 chestnut Quarter Stallion. He is 15'1. He is one of the youngest last sons of the world famous Scotch Bar Time to be available to the public. His bloodlines go back to Dandy Seeker, Zippo Sunny, Zippo Pine Bar & Sonny Dee Bar. He does not carry the HYPP gene.

Hints Classic Style is a '02 bay Quarter Stallion. He is 16'1. He is an own son of the two time world champion Kids Classic Style. His bloodlines go back to Obvious Conclusion, Hint of Conclusive and Kid Clu. He is HYPP N/N. Hint has since crossed the Great Rainbow Bridge but still have frozen semen available.

Hint of Kidlook is a '05 black Quarter Stallion. He is an own son of Kidlook by Kid Clu. His dam is Hint of Mia x Hint of Conclusive x Conclusive. He is HYPP N/N
